What is your ideal first date?

“Sushi is always a good date because everyone is shoving rolls in their mouth, it’s awkward but it’s fun. Then I think something fun would be to kind-of go back to your childhood days, do something like laser tag. Just get back to your roots as a kid and get some fun and excitement in the air.”

What is the best thing about falling in love?

“It’s having someone there that shares your interests, but can also challenge you with their side of them that is not like yourself. But mainly just having someone to kick back and just be yourself with.”

How old were you when you first fell in love?

“I have loved my mom and dad since I was a little kid so…? I’ve actually only said, ‘I love you’ to a girl once and that was my sophomore year of college. I don’t like to give the ‘I love you’ out a lot unless I mean it.”

What is one romantic thing you’d like to do?

“At nighttime, sit at the shore of the beach, listen to the waves come in and look out at the stars and stuff… I’d normally do it by myself, but if a girl’s there it’s that much better.”

What is the worst date you’ve ever been on?

“When I was 16, I went on a date with this girl, we were driving and my tire blew out. I pulled over and I had never put on a [spare] tire before, so my date put the tire on for me. We didn’t really talk after that… I don’t know if that was a deal breaker.”

What is the best thing about falling in love?

“You can talk to them about things that you don’t want to talk to your mates about. Also, just having that relationship and having someone there that you know you can count on when things get rough.”

Tell me some things that are true about yourself?

“I have only had three girlfriends in my life. I’m cautious, so when that person [I fall in love with] comes along, it’ll be nice. And I try not to fall into the football category of ‘shagging the world’ if that makes sense.”

How do you approach a girl?

“I always prefer to be the one approaching a girl. I feel that if a girl approaches me then, either they have more confidence than I do, which I don’t enjoy, or they just came for a one-night-stand. I try not to be creepy I’ve seen a lot of fails, so for me to approach a girl I’d have to just casually walk up to them and try and make a joke. Hopefully she plays along with it and if I don’t get a slap in the face.”

What is the worst date you’ve ever been on?

“I was late, which never helps, and I went to buy popcorn and my card had run out of money. So she had to buy the popcorn. I didn’t think that was a big deal, but afterwards I tried to kiss her and I got the cheek. That was the end of that.”

Tell me something true about yourself?

“I’m only 20 years of age, so I’ve got a lot of love stories left in me. But for now, it’s pretty basic. American girls are a little bit crazier than Australian girls, but I think I’ve figured them out. I think so far [my love life has] been good. I’ve gone about my business the right way and tried not to break too many hearts. Hopefully no one’s trying to break my heart either, so it’s positive vibes all around for me.”

What is your ideal first date?

“Somewhere in Paris, that would be great. I’d go to the Louvre [Museum], I like art a lot and then I’d go see a play or something. Of course, seeing a London ballet would be cool too.”

How old were you when you had your first kiss?

“Five, I was married to a girl named Taylor in preschool. We got divorced because she got too bossy while playing house. We were best friends though, we never went anywhere without each other.”

What is the best thing about falling in love?

“It changes what you live for and it gives you a whole new dream. Everything else, your vocation, your career can be taken away from you. If I break my legs, I won’t play basketball. If I get brain damage, I wont be able to go into the profession that I wish to. Love usually lasts forever, if it’s true love. So I guess, it’s just having something that you live for and will never go away.”

Tell me something true about yourself?

“I’m an incredibly monogamous person. I’m faithful, I have never cheated and never will. When I find a wife, she will be my everything.”

What are your interests?

“I’m very passionate about life, so I just have fun doing everything. I’m a guy who enjoys so many things that whatever the other person enjoys in the relationship is usually what I do, other than Glee. I hate Glee!”

Do you believe in love at first sight?

“If I saw Beyoncé or JLo standing in front of me, I would. I guess it’s possible, I haven’t witnessed or experienced it yet, but I guess it would be possible.”

What is your favorite love song?

Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis, just kidding. I like Differences by Genuine, that’s a good song. If you listen to the lyrics, it talks about life and someone who can make a difference in your life. When you are in love with someone, they are that person who makes a difference in your life.”

What is the worst date you’ve ever been on?

“I was forced into it. I wasn’t attracted to the girl and we were friends. I don’t have to be attracted to her to be friends, but she asked me to go on a date with her and I didn’t want to say no because she is my friend. At the same time, I didn’t look at her that way. When we were on the date, I’d try to keep it as friendship and she’d try to take it further. So everything was awkward and I felt like I was forced to say stuff that I didn’t really want to say and I think that hurt our friendship.”

What kind of kiss(es) do you prefer?

“The white chocolate swirl. The one’s that actually mean something. You can tell when you’re kissing if it’s something special. If you can feel it, than that’s the kind of kisses that I like.”

What’s something romantic you like to do for your significant other?

“I’d just like to do random things when she isn’t expecting it. Just waiting for her, spending time with her and making her laugh. That’s what I like to do, random acts of kindness or random things that I can do to make her happy and smile.”
